Julie Mekhael practices civil and commercial litigation, assisting her clients in managing and resolving complex disputes. A member of the Quebec Bar since 2018, she prioritizes a human, rigorous, and pragmatic approach to litigation. Driven by a desire to support her clients with precision and efficiency, she places particular emphasis on the strength of legal arguments and the strategic preparation of cases.
Before joining Savonitto & Associates, Ms. Mekhael developed diverse experience in private firms and institutions. Notably, she served as legal counsel at the Université du Québec à Montréal, where she drafted legal opinions, reviewed contracts, and advised management on various legal issues, including intellectual property, access to information, and litigation management.
Throughout her civil and commercial litigation practice, she has drafted pleadings and legal opinions, prepared examinations for discovery, participated in hearings, and represented clients before the courts. Her background also includes experience in insurance law and an internship at the Office of the Syndic of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), where she contributed to the analysis of disciplinary files and the preparation of procedures.
Ms. Mekhael holds a Bachelor of Law degree and a Juris Doctor in North American common law from the University of Montreal. She also completed specialized training in intellectual property at McGill University in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada.
